Web 2.0 Tools

Web 2.0 is a description of a range of web services that collectively represents the "second version‟ of the world wide web.
Web 2.0 tools are online software programs that allow users to do a number of different things.
They can be used to teach curriculum content, store data, create or edit video, edit photos, collaborate and so much more.
These programs are often free and are used by teachers, students and sometimes parents, both in and out of the classroom, on a pretty regular basis.
A Web 2.0 website may allow users to interact and collaborate with each other in a social media dialogue as creators of user-generated content in a virtual community, in contrast to the first generation of Web 1.0-era websites where people were limited to the passive viewing of content.

Examples of Web 2.0 features include social networking sites and social media sites
e.g., Facebook,Blogs, Tumblr, Twitter, Pinterest, Google sites, Google classroom etc
